Our process

01 • Mobilisation

Identify a senior executive within your organization who will work with Align Futures to deal with the project's logistics and administration.

02 • Team Kick-off meeting

An in-depth explanation of the process with all participants to clearly define what will be required of each participant to achieve the desired outcome.

03 • Individual team member interviews

Each team member will be interviewed to understand the important business decisions they are trying to make. The specific objective being to gain an understanding of the key uncertainties they are facing in the business environment (eg. regulatory uncertainty, disruptive technology, shifting market demand).

04 • Team workshop #1

Review strawman axes of uncertainty, boundaries and 'scenario logics'.

05 • Team workshop #2

Team signs off (ie. buys in) to three to four framework 'scenario logics'.

06 • Team workshop #3

Review the five-year story boards / narratives (with quantitative modelling if appropriate) for each of the framework scenarios.

07 • Team workshop #4

Final team workshop for team sign-off on the Scenario Framework and a single derived Investment Scenario (the basis for the forward business plan and budget).

08 • Legal opinion

Option to obtain a legal opinion regarding the board’s obligation to assess future risks to the business and identify any remaining exposures (post the above process).

Reports

Our scenario framework report will include a specific Investment Scenario, derived from a comprehensive process owned by your organisation’s key decision-makers. This new platform for shared executive understanding of future uncertainty will result in higher quality strategy development, risk management and more robust value creation.
